Snowy Lake George Oil Painting

Used a knife for the snow on mountains and a dry large brush over wet paint for the water. Light on dark technique. Did the dark green trees first, then added the snow when dried.

Thanks to One of My Teachers...Bill Alexander

The late Bill Alexander taught me that we must have 'dark' first in order to paint 'light.' So I now attempt his method with watercolor.
                                                               Thank you, Bill.

Donated Painting to GCCA

Just donated this painting to:
Greene County Council on the Arts.
Will be part of a silent auction at their 27th Annual Beaux Arts Ball at Hunter Mountain on March 28th. This is a primary fund raising event. Glad to be a behind-the-scenes part of it.
